Mixed Bag

The best destination in Argentina

Argentina's Most Prestigious Duck, Dove & Perdiz Combo

Few places on earth match Argentina’s diversity of game birds. Our mixed‑bag hunts combine outstanding shooting with exceptional convenience. Whether you choose dove, duck, perdiz (partridge) or pigeon — or a combination — every outing delivers superb birds and is easily reached from the lodge. While many operators shuttle hunters five hours or more between dove and duck locations, we routinely combine dove and duck hunting in the same day.

Overview

La Criolla Lodge offers easy-access, highly-consistent duck hunting as well as upland hunting for perdiz and thrilling high-volume dove hunting.

Main Features

Arrival & 1st Day

Arrival to Buenos Aires (Ezeiza International Airport). Once they land in Buenos Aires, guests charter a 1:30 hour flight and land directly on our property. Our arrange charter flights with Pilatus PC12 and Cessna Caravans. We land in the lodge at 1:00PM, have lunch, take a nap and go hunting around 3:00PM

Some guests like to stay in Buenos Aires and enjoy the city for one night. In that case, we arrange the ground transfer to the hotel, tours, and the pick up and transfer to the domestic airport next day, where flights fly into Santa Fe city. We drive guests to the lodge (2 hrs), have lunch and hunt in the afternoon.

Following days

On the second day we start shooting morning and afternoon. The program we recommend when coming for the mixed bag is a 4 full days, were in the first afternoon we usually do high volume dove hunting to practice and get loose, the following 3 days we duck hunt in the morning upon sunrise and in the afternoons we dove hunt. One afternoon instead of dove hunting the hunter can fish for Dorado. Each day we erect custom blinds in the crop fields, marshland or water ponds and lakes where the birds feed in. We normally shoot doves near the roosts in the afternoon sessions. Every hunter is provided with everything they need by their field assistant (bird-boy), including a cooler, insect repellent, and spare gun parts. A supervisor circulates by the blinds to ensure hunters are well cared for, that firearms are functioning properly. Shooting sessions end whenever the hunters choose to return for appetizers and lunch or when the limit on ducks or perdiz is achieved.
